In 2015, Kedebao e2 (education and environment) project was officially launched. E2 is a global project launched by Kedebao, which aims to establish a long-term commitment to social responsibility and support education and environmental protection projects through charitable donations, voluntary activities and technical input. In the seven years since the project was launched, Caltech employees worldwide have launched numerous projects to contribute to the improvement of the environment and education in their communities.

Looking back on the past seven years, we interviewed e ² Hanno D. Wentzler, the initiator of the project and chairman of the steering committee, has in-depth understanding of his views and prospects for the project.

How satisfied are you with the first seven years of the e2 project?

"Personally, I am very proud of the progress made in the e2 project. The Steering Committee is convinced that we have had a positive impact on the lives of some people. According to the latest statistics, we have 156 projects around the world and invested about 12 million euros. It is very important that because we are on the scene and support each project personally, we can spend all our funds in the most important places."

You know about more than 150 projects and know many people behind them. What projects are outstanding?

"All 156 projects! Without the selfless support of these excellent employees, no project will succeed. My colleagues support these community projects with dedication, and I deeply admire them - whether it is teaching people to read, building kindergartens, or planting trees."

You think e ² In which direction will the future develop?

"In the year 2020/2021, the epidemic is rampant, causing a food crisis. We resolutely meet the challenge and begin to provide help to the global food bank. We have sent out many containers full of masks. Under special circumstances, we have maintained flexibility. In the long run, we will still focus on education and the environment, which are most in need of help."

Passing Love and Warmth, Practicing Public Welfare in Education

Kedebao Green Computer Classroom

In 2016, FRCCA set up a "green computer classroom" for children of migrant workers in Qixin Primary School, Wujiang District, Suzhou City, and provided financial support for three years.

Qingpu New Hope Primary School "Bookworm" Project

In 2017, Kluber Lubricant, a subsidiary of Kedebao Specialty Chemicals Group, and Kentian jointly carried out the "Bookworm" project in the "Qingpu New Hope Private Primary School", established a book corner for each class, funded more than 800 children's books, and prepared a wealth of school supplies.

"I love robots" public welfare project

In 2017, Krupp Lubricants and Kentian cooperated with Shanghai Yangpu District Golden Sun Training School to carry out the public welfare course of "I love robots", providing free Lego robot training for children.

The project of "Teaching Clothing Making for Special Students"

In 2017, the volunteers of Kede Baobao Linglin (Nantong) Co., Ltd. joined hands with the local special education center to help students in Nantong Deaf School and Blind School learn how to make clothes, covering a series of links from fabric production to design and application.

"Dream Center" public welfare project

In 2019, Weibak Group and Kentian Company under Kedebao Group, together with Shanghai True Love Dream Public Welfare Foundation, set up a "Dream Center" classroom in Fangqian Experimental Primary School in Wuxi, making efforts to cultivate students' sound character and key abilities necessary for adapting to society.

Apollo Hope Primary School

In 2021, Kedebao Apollo, a member of Kedebao Filtration Technology Group, built and renovated the auditorium, library, drinking water system, washroom and other overall teaching and auxiliary facilities for Apollo Hope Primary School to improve the children's education environment.

Protect the environment and share a better future with the world

Jinze Reservoir Tree Planting Project

In 2017, three companies under Kede Baobao Ling launched the tree planting project in Jinze Reservoir, planting more than 100 trees to create a better ecological environment for Jinze Reservoir and protect water resources.

170th anniversary tree planting project

In 2019, on the occasion of the 170th anniversary of the founding of Kedebao Group, Kedebao people planted more than 2000 trees in more than 10 cities in China to celebrate Kedebao's 170th birthday, which also added a touch of green to the world.

Help with love and fight with one heart

Global Epidemic Food Bank

In 2020, Kedebao will contact more than 80 aid organizations worldwide and provide safe and sufficient food for the poor in 28 countries/regions around the world through the Food Bank project. In China, Kedebao, together with Shanliang Community, Enpai and other NGOs, donated food and health supplies to vulnerable groups in areas with severe epidemic.
